“House of Israel, can I not treat you as this potter treats his clay?”–this is the LORD’s declaration. “Just like clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, house of Israel. – Jeremiah 18:6
Clay exists to make the invisible…visible.
It exists to be thrown, squeezed, spun, burnt, and pounded over and over again, until it has been transformed into what the Potter has in mind.
Clay does not exist to give its opinion on the process. It doesn’t even exist to help the Potter in the process. Instead, clay exists to just submit to the process of transformation in the hands of the Potter.
Clay exists to have its true potential fully released by the expert hand of the Potter.
God is the Potter. You are the clay.
And you exist for God to shape you into the amazing, awe-inspiring Who that He created you to be.
