Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!” But he said, “I am not mad, most noble Festus, but speak the words of truth and reason. – Acts 26:24-25
“We’re crazy, but we’re not stupid,” said Jack Ma from Alibaba.
Today’s crazy fantasy is tomorrow’s mundane reality.
Everything you take for granted was once the “delusional” rantings and ravings of a certifiable lunatic.
Your future is found in the “stupid crazy” things that you are told to throw by the wayside…the stones that the builders reject.
But far bigger than innovations and discoveries that are ridiculed today, celebrated tomorrow, taken for granted the day after that…is a “crazy” reality that filled Paul with confidence when he stood before Kings and rulers.
One day you will have to stand before the One who made you, and give an account for what you did with the Life you were offered through His Son Jesus.
This seems like a crazy and stupid thought to many now. But just as the day came for the creation and adoption of the car, the plane, penicillin, the Internet, self-driving cars…
One day you will have to give an account before your Maker.
Given you know that day is coming…it’d be crazy and stupid (in the worst way) to gamble your eternity on not being ready.
