Jesus ordered the servants, “Fill the pots with water.” And they filled them to the brim.
8 “Now fill your pitchers and take them to the host,” Jesus said, and they did. – John 2:7-8
Miracles happen in the process of obedience.
It looked as if the servants were simply filling their pitchers with water, and then serving that water to the master of ceremonies.
But somewhere in their obedience, the Word transformed that water into wine.
H2O was transformed into CH3CH2OH.
The molecular structure of water was reconfigured to include carbon. Hydrogen bonds and electrons were reshaped into the configuration of alcohol.
Extremely complicated alchemy was occurring in the guise of servants filling pots of water and serving it to the MC.
That’s the mystery of the Word.
Your act of obedience to the Word is not as weak or simplistic as it appears.
Whatever He says to you, do it.
