Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4
The valley is real, the shadow of death is real, and the temptation to stop and wallow in the fear of evil is immensely real.
But don’t stop…keep on walking through.
Because the Lord is your Shepherd. Always and forever. You never get to wander off by yourself because the Lord is your Shepherd.
And no matter how what it looks like when you’re walking through the Valley, turn your eyes away from the imagination of evil…and realise that you’ve got the Shepherd as your Constant Travelling Companion.
