And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed. – Acts 16:25
Praise is to the Believer what breathing is to the body: continuously vital.
In fact, you see the connection made by Psalm 150:6 where it says “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
Let each breath be a prompt for you to praise God. And if you’re stuck on where to begin, start with praise for the fact that despite everything that has happened and is happening…you’re still alive and breathing.
When you praise God, you are being your full true self.
And when you walk in the reality of who you really are, everything that doesn’t line up with that reality – e.g being chained and imprisoned in a dungeon – has to shift.
Praise is your breath. Don’t stop breathing praising.
